Crunchy Black was a longtime member of the Oscar-winning rap group Three 6 Mafia from the group’s founding until 2006. At the 78th Academy Awards in 2006, Three 6 Mafia and Frayser Boy won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for It's Hard out Here for a Pimp. Black’s debut solo album entitled On My Own was released on September 19, 2006. Crunchy’s second solo album, From Me To You reached 12 on the Billboard Top Heat seekers chart
In 2013, Crunchy Black joined Da Mafia 6ix, a reincarnation of Three 6 Mafia with DJ Paul, Lord Infamous, Koopsta Knicca and Gangsta Boo. He has a daughter named Ladee Pooh Carlton.
Crunchy contributed heavily to Platinum albums When the Smoke Clears: Sixty 6, Sixty 1, and Most Known Unknown, as well as Gold albums Da Unbreakables, and Chapter 2: World Domination with Three 6 Mafia. Crunchy is known for g-walking, which he says he started doing in Memphis Clubs but admits he is not the originator.
He's currently preparing for the release of 'Return of The Robbers" movie, album and soundtrack. In 2019 Three 6 Mafia reunited and started a reunion tour and has dates booked up until 2021
Uncle Beats is a Chicago rapper, manager, and music producer, who gained prominence by being a rapper, promoter, security and booking agent, for artists such as Jay Z, R. Kelly, The Geto Boys, P. Diddy, Crucial Conflict, Three 6 Mafia, Project Pat, King Louie, Katie Got Bandz, G Herbo, Lil Reese and more.
He has released 2 mixtapes with Glace Conway, Trafficking the Mixtape and also the Check a Bag Soundtrack both hosted by Project Pat and Freeway Rick Ross. He has released 5 studio albums, “Down and Dirty”, “Life of Leland”, “Teamwork Makes The Dream Work”, “Relationship Advice”, and “Land of Leland”.
Born and raised in the south side of Chicago in the Englewood area, Uncle Beats founded Low Down Productions in 1996, later founded the Gwop Gettas promo team and became VP of Hard Hittaz Money Gang. Uncle Beats attributes his success in the music game to dedication, determination and discipline.
